Sign Language, sustainable development

Deaf and hard of hearing citizens and sign language communities and societies experience new realities that confront them with additional challenges and opportunities. In this book, renowned scholars and policy makers present various innovative and ground-breaking perspectives on the relationships among sustainable development, sign language, and equal opportunities. The sustainability notion is broadened to include the development of the human potential, the promotion and celebration of human diversity, and the fostering of inclusive thinking.
